2 Bedroom Cottage in South Congress, Austin

This pristine rustic 2/2 1100 SF Cottage B is located 2 blocks off of South Congress 65 feet behind Cottage A. It is completely renovated and is in excellent condition and top notch interior and exterior decor, appliances, finishes, bathing and showering experience, linens, towels, and on and on and on. Amenities include an open farm house kitchen off the living room, high ceilings, a screened in porch off the primary bed room and a covered patio with a grill overlooking a magical garden with a solid stone laughing Buddha and lotus fountain. The yard is fully fenced in and gated with one off street parking space inside a gated driveway. We go over and beyond hospitality standards and have received rave reviews from Guests for both cottages. We are glad to answer any questions. We promise, you will not be disappointed if you choose this property. Please be prepared to let us know something about yourself and why you are traveling to Austin. We feel that part of our success is making sure we are a good fit for each other.
These properties are excellent for longer term stay with an additional benefit of a 30% discount for monthly rentals. An additional agreement that is particular to each property is part of the rental arrangement.
We are pet friendly on a case by case basis with an additional non refundable pet fee. There will be certain screening questions regarding your pet so please let us know up front if you plan on bringing one. The minimum Guest age is 25 years, with the exception of guests with children . Looking forward to your request!

Summary: What a remarkable “find”. Our 2 bedroom cottage was nicer than we expected. Often, one cannot tell “everything” from the photos, but the entire experience far exceeded our expectations. Shelly was the best; the property was immaculate; the location was perfect. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

Summary: My husband and I and a good friend stayed for a long weekend in April during the Austin Blues Festival. The cottage was perfect in every way. The location is excellent and just steps away from all the great SoCo shops & restaurants, yet super safe and quiet. Shelly went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and was always available when we had questions. The cottage was spotless, beds were extra comfy, and we arrived to find special touches of fresh flowers and local coffee.

Summary: Everything was wonderful about our stay at Shelly’s cottage. It was even more charming and lovely than the beautiful photos online. The house was immaculate and filled with every amenity. Summary: My husband and another couple stayed at Shelly's place in SOCO. The location was very convenient and everything was a walk, short drive or Uber away. Shelly appointed the place with a lot of nice details, including fresh flowers, local coffee/snacks and other items (tape, ziplock bags, etc) that were very useful during our stay. The home is in great condition and we enjoyed our stay.

Summary: My girlfriends and I did a girls trip to Austin and Shelly was the perfect host! The house was so cute and we ended up spending more time at the house because we loved the ambiance. We could walk to many great restaurants and shops. 10 of 10 experience!!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay in this unique South Congress home. The location could not have been better- so close to all the shops, restaurants and venues, but amazingly quiet. The ambience is Austin-funky and will immediately lift you up and put you in a good mood! Beds and bedding are probably the most comfortable we’ve slept in. Thoughtful details are present throughout. The kitchen was well provisioned, as were the two bathrooms. Everything is on one floor and the shower is walk-in, which was very helpful for my mobility-challenged husband. The fenced yard was just right for our dog. The owners, Shelly and Jennifer, were friendly, communicative, and so easy to work with. If you’re looking for a comfortable, perfectly-sized small home in a great location filled with positive energy, this fits the bill!

Summary: The property has two well kept cottages, each with their own private and fenced in yard. We stayed in cottage A. The front porch was one of our favorite hang out spots. Jennifer and Shelley have the home so nicely decorated and well equipped. Everything from bath salts and essential oils next to the large soaking tub to wine and salsa waiting on arrival. Fully equipped kitchen for home cooked meals with ease. The location is ideal, an easy walk to the shops, restaurants and music of South Congress.

Summary: I've been staying in vacation rentals for over 10 years and this was the best overall experience I've had. The owner and manager were so easy to work with and the cottage was even better than described. Everything was all setup and ready for a great visit to Austin. I walked around the neighborhood every morning and enjoyed exploring the area (felt super safe). Can't wait to go back.

Summary: My husband and I rented this property for seven weeks. We brought our two little pups and had friends visit throughout our stay. We felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. It is comfy, has a fully stocked kitchen, beautiful front porch to enjoy morning coffee, and a wonderful deck over the carport for evening cocktails. The location is great for enjoying South Congress, getting to the airport and accessing IH 35. And Shelly and Jennifer are the best and sweetest property managers! The best property we’ve stayed in during our 30 years of traveling to Austin!
